It has now become a nerd-underworld thing to secrete these phrases in full view of Joe-Public knowing they will be largely un-noticed and even then mostly ignored or mis-understood. Pictures have appeared in local papers where some wag has done something funny but insidiously there will be 'All your base are belong to us' on the bottom of it.
The following flash-show is a montage of the start up of the game (demonstrating the dreadful translation superbly) and the clips of the phrases written up in places. Most of them are photo-shopped (but well done) but look out for the 'Anal exams' which got into the local paper because someone had moved the I onto the F to make an A... look at the bottom of the sign - this embodies the spirit of AYB posters - sneak it in where no-one notices except the initiated... top fun. I, myself, have been doing this in code I write for several years and I have a web application in full view getting 1.5M hits a year with AYB in full view but un-noticed :o)
One particulary good story (true? I don't know) relates to two german brothers who ran an office cleaning company, and in the night they would run around the office blocks turning the lights on in patterns so the whole side of an office block would have "All your base" displayed in lights... again, in full public view but largely un-noticed... well done boys! Keep up the good work!
